After months of speculation, it looks like the cat is finally out of the bag. GameStop is handing out pamphlets and one of the pages has confirmed that the 4 co-op maps in the Hardened Edition are zombie maps from World at War.

The "Zombie Mode" could be played in Call of Duty: World at War after beating the single-player campaign. The mode takes you and up to 3 other players against zombies. The objective is to survive as long as possible as the zombie waves get harder and harder.
The Hardened and Prestige editions of Call of Duty: Black Ops have been revealed. Sorry, no night vision goggles with the Prestige Edition, instead it comes along with a real remote-control vehicle modelled after the RC Bomb killstreak reward:
- Video and audio sent wirelessly to remote transmitter.
- 2" backlit TFT 220 x 176 color screen built into RC controller.
- Digital proportional steering and throttle.
- Independent suspension.
- High and low speed settings.

The Hardened Edition includes the full game, special-edition SteelBook case, collector’s medal w/display case and 4 additional co-op maps. The Hardened Edition comes with a $79.99 price tag and is available for both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
The Prestige Edition comes with everything that's in the Hardened Edition, along with the remote-control vehicle RC-XD, which raises the price to $149.99. The Prestige Edition is available for both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 owners.
A lot of new information has been revealed thanks to the multiplayer teaser that was released yesterday. The video has now been analyzed from frame-to-frame and some new and old killstreaks have been found.

As a side note, the perks page has been updated with the Bling perk. The weapons page has also been updated with new pictures and a few new additions: FAMAS, ACCURACY INTERNATIONAL AW and BALLISTIC KNIFE.

The launch for Call of Duty: Black Ops is going to be huge, even huger than Modern Warfare 2's, or so Activision believes.
"This year's Black Ops will release on more platforms than ever before, and continues to pace ahead of last year's record setting Modern Warfare 2 in terms of per-sales and consumer awareness metrics,"
"The game continues to gain momentum, and based on the traction we have already established with our partners around the world, we expect Black Ops will yet again drive Call of Duty to be the entertainment event of the year."
Since the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 install base is bigger than it's ever been, obliviously the market opportunity is bigger too. Activision is backing Black Ops' launch with its biggest financial investment ever. Activision's CEO, Bobby Kotick, also believes that Black Ops will appeal to a much broader consumer base, but is it enough to top Modern Warfare 2?
Here is a nice video that takes you behind the scenes at Treyarch's studio. There's a lot of footage around the studio and some new Black Ops gameplay, so it's totally worth the watch.
The official Call of Duty: Black Ops retail boxart has been revealed, more specifically the PC versions, but the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Wii versions won't differ much. The same image (as seen below) was shown at the end of the debut trailer a few months back and has appeared numerous times in posters and such.

The first pictures of MadCatz's Black Ops controllers have been released. And yes, this is the same MadCatz that released those Modern Warfare 2 controllers last year. These themed PrecisionAIM Controllers do actually offer more than just "good looks", for example, you can slow the analog stick movement for more precise aiming.
Both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 PrecisionAIM controllers cost $50 a pop and the Nintendo Wii Controller Pack $40. The PC Stealth Controller will cost $30 and the PC Stealth Gaming Surface $20. Check out some of the peripherals below.

The weapons page has been updated once again with new weapons from various sources. Some of the older weapons have also been updated with new images. You can click on each weapon for more information.

During Microsoft's E3 press conference Treyarch was kind enough to show us some brand new Black Ops gameplay footage. The level includes sneaking inside a cave, attacking a helipad and actually hijacking the helicopter there. Watch the video below.
Activision and Microsoft have also revealed that all future Call of Duty add-ons and map packs will launch first on the Xbox 360. The deal between Activion and Microsoft will last until 2012, so when you plan on playing Call of Duty in the next 3 years, you want to play it on Xbox 360.
Platforms: Xbox 360 (Xbox LIVE), PlayStation 3 (PSN), PC and Wii.
